James Belushi
Honorary Chairman
Jim Belushi was born in Chicago, Illinois to Albanian parents and has always maintained a strong connection with his roots. He received a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Theatre Education from Southern Illinois University. Mr. Belushi has been an actor for over thirty years, appearing on Broadway, the small screen and the big screen in over 65 movies and countless television shows, including “Saturday Night Live” and eight seasons of “According to Jim.” He has worked with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Mann and Oliver Stone. Along with acting, he is an accomplished screenwriter, director, musician, songwriter and author. His first book, Real Men Don’t Apologize, hit the shelves in the Spring of 2006. He performs in casinos and at corporate events across the country with The Sacred Hearts, his rhythm and blues band, and Dan Aykroyd as The Blues Brothers. Mr. Belushi is also a prominent shareholder in Planet Hollywood and the House of Blues/Live Nation Corporation. He is also an extremely active participant in all of the grand openings and promotions for the venues. In addition, Mr. Belushi and his family participate heavily in community services and charities.
 
 
Richard T. Groome
Chairman and Director
Richard T. Groome is Managing Partner of Notre-Dame Capital Inc. His expertise stems from financing small and mid-size emerging growth companies. Prior to starting this business in October 2005, he was Senior Vice-President of Strategic Capital from January 2003 through September 2005 and Senior Vice-President of Institutional Equity Sales from August 2001 to January 2003 at Desjardins Securities, a Quebec-based firm. Richard has been in the financial industry for more than 20 years at such firms as Groome Capital (his own firm), Marleau Lemire Securities, Sprott Securities and Levesque Beaubien Geoffrion. He has a BA in Economics from McGill University. Mr. Groome has actively managed or participated in over 400 financings representing some $4 billion of small cap financings. Mr. Groome is very active in numerous philanthropic projects most notably underprivileged children in Montreal and Peru, in addition to the World Wildlife Fund.

Glenn Laing
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director (Age: 64 years)
Glenn Laing holds a Bachelor of Science, Engineering (Mining Geology) degree from the University of Witwatersand, Johannesburg and a Masters of Science (Mining Engineering) degree from Colorado School of Mines, USA. Mr. Laing has been involved in the natural resources and financial sectors for over 30 years. He is currently president, chief executive officer and a director of Jumbo Development Corporation, President of Silverbridge Capital Inc and a director of Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited. He will devote approximately 20% of his time to the business of the Resulting Issuer.

Claude Schimper
Chief Operating Officer and Director (Age: 41 years)
Claude Schimper has more than 20 years of experience in the mining industry holding various senior positions in Canada and South Africa. His experience includes project management, mine contracting and construction. Mr. Schimper is the holder of a National Higher Diploma in Metalliferous Mining, Project Management and Asset Management Certification.
He will devote approximately 100% of his time to the business of the Resulting Issuer.

Harry Bloomfield
Director (Age: 64 years)
From 1971 to 1976 with J. Henry Schroder Banking, New York City; and from 1976 to present as lawyer with Bloomfield & Associés, Montreal; also, President of the Eldee Foundation, a Canadian Charitable Foundation. From March 1981 to March 1987 he served as a Member of the Commission des Valeurs Mobilieres du Qébec, also then called the Quebec Securities Commission. In 1987 he was named to the Board of Directors of the Federal Business Development Bank, now called the BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada) and served there for 10 years, 7 of which as Chairman of the Audit Committee. In 1994, in partnership with Bank Julius Baer of Zurich, Switzerland, he formed and was the first Chairman of BJB Global Investments, Ltd., a Canadian wealth-management advisory firm with headquarters in Montreal. In 1998, he became the President of the Canadian Branch of the International Law Association, leading a Canadian delegation to the London Conference (2000) and the New Delhi Conference (2002), and later spearheaded an invitation for the world 2006 Conference to be held in Toronto, Canada. In November of 2007, he was awarded the Gold Medal for meritorious philanthropic work, and international social bridge-building, by the Jordanian National Red Crescent Society, Dr. Mohammed Al-Hadid, President and Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. It is the highest award that they offer. He will devote approximately 25% of his time to the business of the Resulting Issuer. He has not entered into a non-competition or non-disclosure agreement with the Company.

Elliot M. Kramer
Vice-President and Director (Age: 39 years)
Elliot Kramer worked as an independent business consultant for the 4 years prior to founding Balkan Resources, advising on overseas real estate projects to select clients. He is an author of two non-fiction books and a qualified and experienced business plan writer. He led the sales team for a start-up company in new technology for 5 years. He has his Master's degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a Political Science Bachelor’s from McGill University with an emphasis on developing countries. Mr. Kramer serves BRI as the group’s Vice President, transacting with investors. He was part of a team that traveled to Albania in January 2006 to finalize BRI’s creation, cement and negotiate relationships and apply for nickel and copper concessions.

David Johnson
Corporate Secretary (age 38 years)
David A. Johnson is an attorney and trade-mark agent at Bloomfield & Associates, a law firm based in Montreal, Quebec. He specializes in international business, commercial transactions, corporate law, intellectual property, financing and securities. Prior to joining Bloomfield & Associates, David practiced as an attorney at the law firms of Nelson Cameron Champagne and Robinson Sheppard Shapiro. He also practiced urban planning in Montreal, Ottawa and the United States. David was the managing partner of the urban planning and architecture consulting firm, ARDA, for several years with work in Canada, the United States, Europe and Japan. He holds an honours B.A. in Geography from Queen’s University, a Master in Urban Planning, a B.C.L. and an LL.B. from McGill University and has completed the Canadian Securities Course. He will devote approximately 5% of his time to the business of the Resulting Issuer.
